NYE found Andy and I in a scuzzy West Duluth bar listening to a heavy metal cover band...home by 11:30. We missed the whole Big Event because we didn&#39;t have the TV on. Our daughter (the 18 y/o un-pregnant one) texted us from Black Bear Casino &quot;HAPPY NEW YEARS, KIDS!&quot;. It was 12:12.<br />2012 is going to be my diet year. I&#39;ve never dieted. I&#39;ve always just floated along, never getting too depressed about it. Now I&#39;m depressed about it. I joined SparkPeople.com and am counting calories. I hate it, but I&#39;ve lost 7 lbs. already (I started early because that&#39;s just how I roll.).<br /><br />PS I love Kathy Griffin. I know I&#39;m in the minority. We saw her live in Las Vegas. I took my then-16 yr old daughter (wasn&#39;t pregnant then either), and her first line was &quot;Wanna hear some dick jokes?!&quot;, and I knew I was in big trouble. The little darling fell asleep on my shoulder. Well, cripes, it was 1:00 a.m. What kind of mother takes her un-pregnant 16 yr old daughter to a midnight Kathy Griffin show in Las Vegas?? I&#39;m not a prude, but I just think she&#39;s crude! I didn&#39;t even attempt to watch them this year. Hubby and I watched the Big Bang Theory Marathon.
